Good Morning 🌞
I'm Millie Chan (aka heymoonface), a mixed media artist and software engineer, currently based in the east bay. I received my B.S. in Molecular Toxicology at University of California, Berkeley. As an engineer, I've worked across product and infrastructure engineering, building out UI components and most recently, data viz dashboards.
In my free time, you can always find me painting or trying out a new craft, although watercolor has my heart forever. My artwork seeks to explore the more vulnerable sides of human emotion juxtaposed with bold colors, shiny elements, and sometimes a bit of silliness. I draw inspiration from existentialism, my cats, and reflecting on my mulitcultural experience growing up Chinese-Vietnamese in Los Angeles, CA.
